Founding Engineer

~97% of the traffic B2B companies pay for leaves their website without a word. We build agents that talk to every visitor — qualifying, demoing, closing — so paid traffic becomes revenue.

Why us

Distribution is the new moat.

AI made building products cheap — what's scarce now is getting them in front of buyers. That's the layer we automate: every visitor greeted, qualified and demoed on the spot. Own the distribution layer, and you own the market.

Real ownership

You join at the ground floor, own whole problems end to end, and hold meaningful equity in what you build.

Deliberately small

Under 10 people for the next few years. Full-remote across Europe, deep work over meetings, impact over hours.

At the agentic edge

Voice agents, live demos, knowledge graphs — you work on the frontier every day, with a serious AI tooling budget.

The team

Nodale is built by two cofounders — Bastien (CEO) and Antoine (CTO) — who joined ZELIQ in its earliest days, taking it from zero to 1m€ ARR through launch and fundraising. You'll be our first engineer, building side by side with our CTO from the ground floor.

The role

Own our go-to-market agents, end to end.

You ship every agent end to end — backend, frontend, ops. You talk to users every week, and nothing ships without measurable impact. Day to day: you dig into the conversations that failed and close the gap, own the cost, reliability and latency of live voice, and grow the eval harness that proves every gain on real traffic.

The agents you will own
Inbound agent

Lives on the customer's website, talks with every visitor, qualifies them and runs a live demo mid-conversation.

Demo agent

Creates personalized demos for follow-ups, and builds live demos driven by the inbound agent.

The shared machinery

Under every agent: the knowledge graph, cross-agent context, CRM sync and the eval harness.

What success looks like

By week 1

You've found something to improve, shipped it — and met our users.

Nobody scoped it for you, and you've already talked to the people it's for.

By month 1

You own the demo agent.

No part of the pipeline is someone else's problem anymore.

By month 3

You've measurably lifted qualification and conversion on real visitor traffic.

The eval harness is in place to prove every gain.

The stack
Boring everywhere except the edge.

Who you are

Level = ability and learning slope.

Not years of experience.

Required

Agentic systems

You're very good at building agentic systems, AI workflows and context engineering — and you prove they get better with evals.

Agentic engineering

You build machinery that multiplies your velocity.

Product-minded

Close to users, opinionated about what to build and why.

Startup DNA

You've thrived in a startup — you ship, you own, you don't wait.

Async communicator

You over-share context and unblock others.

Pragmatic

You spend innovation tokens on the agentic edge and stay boring everywhere else.

Languages

Fluent in French, comfortable reading and writing English.

Nice to have

+Founder

You've started a company yourself — whatever the outcome.

+Adjacent domain

You've worked on something adjacent to what we're building.

Culture & values

The five values we hold each other to.

We stay deliberately lean — under 10 for the next few years — and rely hard on AI for leverage. We protect deep work over meetings and judge impact over hours.

Customer obsession

Everyone talks to them — their problems set our roadmap.

Own it

Full autonomy, zero micromanagement, end to end.

Think 10×

The 20% of effort that drives 80% of the result.

Radical honesty

We say the real thing, kindly and directly — and it flows both ways.

Small, fast iterations

Cut it small, ship it, grow it or kill it.

Culture fit matters as much as the code.

Lifts the room. You're optimistic and a true team player, looking for what's possible before what's wrong.
Truth over ego. You'd rather find the truth than win the argument, hold strong opinions loosely, and treat feedback as a gift.
In it for the craft. You genuinely love the work, sweat the details, and push when it matters.
How we interview

Fast, and respectful of your time — about a week, start to offer.

~5 min
You apply

Tell us about one hard agentic or systems problem you owned end-to-end.

~1 hour
Screening call with our CTO

The role, compensation (we're upfront about the numbers), logistics and what drives you. You leave the call knowing whether we're continuing, and why.

~1 hour
Technical interview

You walk us through a system you've shipped to production, then show us how you actually work — no polished demo. Nothing shareable? We'll send a ~4h exercise instead.

~1 hour
Final interview with our CEO

Product sense and values. In parallel, we run 2–3 short reference calls.

24h
Offer

By phone within 24 hours of the final interview — and a week to decide.

The package

You own a real piece of what you build.

Full-remote across Europe. Flexible hours.

Keep a daily overlap — about 4 hours — that's when we build together and meet users. Around it, the deep work is yours to organise: pick the kids up at 3, go to the gym when it's empty and pick the work back up after. We judge impact, not hours — just keep the team in sync.

Equity that means something.

Your equity comes as BSPCE — French stock options, one of Europe's most employee-friendly tax regimes — on standard four-year vesting with a one-year cliff, monthly after that. You join at the ground floor and your strike price reflects it — real ownership, not a token grant.

How to apply

Walk us through one agentic system / AI workflow you built.

Tell us what it does and the feature(s) it powers, its high-level architecture, whether it shipped to production, and where it falls short today.

Nodale

Agents that own the entire inbound journey — answering, demoing and re-engaging, so the traffic you already paid for turns into revenue.
